Fuzzy Set Theory

  1. “A theory of fuzzy sets.” The study of sets whose membership is expressed as a value between zero and one, instead of a boolean.
  2. “Set theory for fuzzies.” Membership and community questions for a group of furries.

“This above all: to thine own self be true.”
“No man is an island.”
“We are many. We are one.”
“This sacred word: EGO.”

The avatar is the true form of the mage. Perhaps reborn through the ages, perhaps made anew with every breath. In the quest to achieve enlightenment, the mage seeks understanding of the avatar, and perhaps even unity with it. To become one with one’s avatar is to become a god manifest, the truest and most real form of Self.

What if your Avatar… doesn’t look like you?

The traditions are the communities of magic. Through community, we explore what it means to be who we are. We find ourselves in the reflections of others, through groups that tell us we belong. We support one another, identify with one another, and ultimately see ourselves in the marks we leave on other people, and we see them in the marks they leave on us.

What if your Tradition… doesn’t think like you?

Fuzzy Set Theory is a game set in a world very much like our own, exploring people very much like us, based around three simple questions:

  1. What is the self?
  2. What is the other?
  3. What is the difference between the two?
